Macros To Swap Your Bags To The Bank

WoW Auction House Twice As Busy As Ebay



Blizzard released a wonderful World of Warcraft Infographic today that included a section on the Auction House.

A few highlights:

  • The WoW AH does 2.8M daily trades (twice as many trades as eBay on Cyber Monday 2009).
  • There are 71 auctioneers in Azeroth.
  • 39K transactions per auctioneer per day (27 transactions per minute).

Planning Out 22 New Profession Slots



My realm was connected to another on Monday and, besides the server "holy wars" going on in trade chat, the world has not ended.

After doing my normal gold-making routine (I'm not changing any prices until a week after the connection) I decided to create 11 new characters on the new realm.

11 new characters means 22 new profession slots. But which do I choose and where do I put them? Read on for some of my initial thoughts.

My Current Gold-Making Roster Of Characters



With Connected Realms (possibly) coming my way the idea of adding 11 more characters is becoming a real possibility. With that in mind I thought I'd take some time today to go over my current gold-making roster of characters.

I'll be breaking the info into three main sections: professions, cooldowns and general gold-making activities. In doing so I hope to expose a bit more information about my own personal gold-making techniques. Read on for more.

Full 83-84 MoP Armor TradeSkillMaster Importable Lists


About a month ago it occurred to me that if I had a list of every desirable 83-84 Mists of Pandaria armor and suffix in the game and was able to import that list into TradeSkillMaster that I would be able to greatly simplify not only the selling of items in my 83-84 market items but also make buying them easier.

My goal was to build such a set of master lists I could import into TradeSkillMaster groups. Once I had created a groups using this lists I could then build TSM shopping operations to search for the items and TSM Auctioning Operations to sell these items. All this with out ever having to spend time adding newly purchased items one by one into TSM groups by hand.

Starting to use TradeSkillMaster 2.0 can feel like someone came into your garage, stole all your tools and replaced them with a sealed cardboard box full of new ones.

The new tools seem strange. Off. They don't quite fit on your pegboard the same way the old ones did. Some of them are similar enough to make sense right away. Others you honestly have no idea what they do.

In this "Survival Guide" video I walk through the basic theory behind TradeSkillMaster 2.0 and the way works compared to TradeSkillMaster 1.0. I also show where to locate some of the most commonly used features of TSM 2.0.

What Is A "Good" Gold-Maker?


Today's post is my addition to Selltacular's Gold Carnival topic for July which asks:

"What is your definition of a good gold maker?  How do you measure gold making success?"


The short answer: Someone who is having fun.


The slightly longer answer:  Anyone who enjoys themselves while making gold. Do you enjoy yourself? Than you're a good gold maker.

Do I measure someone's gold-making success by the amount of gold the have or by their knowledge or control of markets? No. I measure a gold-making success by if that person is having a good time doing what they are doing. That's it.

It's easy to get in the trap of judging yourself against others standards just as it is a trap to judge others against your own ideals. I work to help anyone learn to make gold no matter your current position along their gold-making journey.
