This isn't the first time that we've looked into evidence of duping (illicit duplication) of items (both big and small) in World of Warcraft. We've been hearing livestream viewers and readers complaining about duping of the Jeweled Onyx Panther mounts.

We've heard plenty of circumstantial evidence of rampant "duping" (duplication) of items in recent months. We've heard accounts of cheap Reins of the Crimson Death Charger, Queen's Garnets and Sands of Time from readers, livestream viewers and other bloggers.

The Undermine Journal recently added new "global" item pages that provide some pretty damning evidence that item duplication is indeed happening. Read on past the jump for my thoughts on item duping and how we can react to it.

I got an email from Blizzard today notifying me that they are removing the X-53 Touring Rocket as a reward for the Recruit-a-Friend program. Read on past the jump for the new mount and more.

As I have been struggling to sell mogging items on my server, all the while watching other prominent gold-makers raking in (what seems to be) tons of gold selling mogging items, a theory started to slowly develop in the back of my mind.

Engineering isn't generally known for being a gold-making power house but I love the profession. My hunter has been an engineer for the last 6 years. I've stuck-by Engineering through thick and thin (long-time engineers will know what I mean) .

Because I love it so much I've never questioned keeping it as a profession. Finding ways to make reliable gold with engineering though has at times been a challenge. After the jump I go over a few things things I've found to be consistent engineering gold-makers in Patch 4.2.

A recent promotion on the World of Warcraft Launcher caught my eye. "Players Go On a Spectral Safari With New Class Starter Decks".

If there is one word in that statement that most gold-makers should recognize it is "Spectral". The Spectral Tiger mount in one of the most sought after and highly valued BOE mounts in the game.

This is the kind of item that players with a decent amount of gold can potentially flip for a profit. A new promotion for the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (TCG) may be pumping more of these valuable mounts into the economy this month.

This cave in Nagrand (southwest of the Halaa PVP area) has turned out to be one of the best places to farm Netherweve Cloth in Outland I've found.

Ashes. Ashes. We all fall down!

So I opened my bags this morning in preparation to sell some enchanting mats on the auction house and noticed something odd. I had an Ashes of Al'ar mount in my inventory.

Why is this odd? Because I already have the Ashes of Al'ar. (See "The Benefits of Economic Freedom (Or How I Got The Ashes of Al'ar)") This had me scratching my head and then the realization slowly crept over me.

I'm just going to put this out there right at the beginning: I got incredibly lucky yesterday. Perhaps it is loot karma for those 6 months I spent farming Legacy. I don't know. Please don't hate me. I'm trying really hard not to sound like a douche (although I'm sure i'll fail miserably).

With that said, read on for the incredible story of how my gold-making helped me get one of the rarest mounts in World of Warcraft.
