Wowhead reports many of the rare crafting recipes no longer require soulbound materials that have cooldoowns.

This will likely change (tank?) the value of these items but also allow them to be more readily crafted and bought/sold.

Keep an eye on these items and also how the ore prices might go up/down as people move into the market. (Looks like the stockpilers weren't so crazy after all.) Head past the jump for the changes.

As was updated in our recent post on material prices since launch:

@CM_Lore: "@dopplegager @TheCrafticus The Garrison was giving too much ore. That was hotfixed yesterday. Will take some time to see the effects." 2:31 PM - 26 Nov 2014

With "yesterday" in that tweet being November 25th, as of this writing the garrison mining nodes have been nerfed for about 4 days. To determine whether it would be worth buying up some of the "cheap" ore now in preparation for an eventual theoretical price increase due to a lowering supply I thought I'd check the numbers.

To paraphase some old guy "I felt a great disturbance in the [economy], as if millions of [exploiters] suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something [wonderful] has happened."

Oh easy Whiptail. We hardly knew thee.

Just a quick note that the "Patch 4.0.6 Hotfixes - February 14" were posted today and should lay to rest any speculation on whether the Whiptail spawn rates were intentional.

Official note:

• Whiptail was spawning too quickly in Uldum after patch 4.0.6. The spawn time has been reduced.

This is sure to make some of us sad but it should be interesting to see how the market adjusts (again). (Also if they 'reduced' the spawn time doesn't that mean it will spawn faster? lol)
