Power Word: Gold Now Covering WildStar Only!

(This was posted in April 1st and was an April Fool's Joke. Did you really think we could leave WoW?!) This wasn't an easy decision and we've been debating it ever since we played the WildStar beta a week ago but we've made the decision to switch Power Word: Gold from a blog, podcast, and livestream about making gold in World of Warcraft to exclusively covering the WildStar economy.

We know this is a radical shift in the direction of Power Word: Gold but we think that WildStar is the first game in the 8 years we've been creating, playing and covering MMOs that has a real chance of being comparable to, if not more popular than, World of Warcraft and its economy. We've spent the last 3 years teaching all of you how to make gold in World of Warcraft and its been fantastic. We love World of Warcraft but we have to say that World of Warcraft is, honestly, getting pretty stale.

Yes there is a new expansion coming out and that will be cool but imagine if I had had the chance to write about the World of Warcraft economy from day one. I'd be huge!

That's the chance I have with WildStar. I could become the number one source on the internet for information on the WildStar economy. That's what I'm shooting for and I'm betting the reputation of this blog on the success of WildStar. The game is that good.

For those of you who have no interest in WildStar I'll be sad to see you go. You will likely stop reading the blog, listening to the podcast, and viewing our livestreams but that's a chance I just have to take.

I can't rest on my laurels forever. The chance to share my gold-making information in a whole new game with a whole new audience is too good to pass up.

I've pre-ordered WildStar and plan on using all of the beta weekends up to laungh to ramp up my knowledge of WildStar's economy and I hope at least some of you will join me in this new adventure.
