Engineering Love During Love Is In The Air

Are you Alliance? Are you an Engineer? Is "Love is in the Air" going on? If so I've got a deal for you! (Be sure to check out Icy Veins' great Love is in the Air Guide.) (Also, be sure to read the Update below for a possible way to quickly farm the BOE Swift Lovebird mount to sell on the AH.)

I had originally been grinding the earth elementals in the starting area of Mt. Hyjal to get my Lovely Charms but then decided to hit Wowhead and look for some mobs I could possibly 'skin' on my engineer. Head past the jump to find out which mobs.

I found the Diamond-Blade Shredders in Twilight Highlands fit the bill perfectly. I believe these mobs are only hostile to Alliance so sorry Hordies. I could now get Lovely Charms and also get the chance to skin Electrified Ether and Handful of Obsidium Bolts from the dead mobs.

In addition, I always drink a Potion of Treasure Finding while grinding my Lovely Charms to make the grind even more profitable (o less of a time suck depending on how you look at it).

If you are an Alchemist now might be a great time to stock the auction house with Potions of Treasure Finding to catch those players like me who want the added bonus while grinding but are too lazy to make our own potions.

What is your favorite place to grind out your Lovely Charms?

UPDATE: Here are a few grinding spots that people have mentioned on twitter or in the comments below (which may be broken at the moment).

Faid: I haven't gone to farm the charms myself but a few friends have. Most folks on my server are reporting the highest charm per hour results from these places:

1. Icecrown Fallen Heroes
2. Halls of Lightning trash after the first boss
3. Alterac Valley mines

The first one just went up on our AH. The guy selling it said he farmed for 2-3 hours. He would queue for Alterac Valley and go mines and just farm there for the whole match. He said good runs in here (when no one else was in the mines) net him the most charms per hour. When he was waiting for the queue he would farm the fallen heroes in Icecrown.

(Just a little follow up the the above. The Bracelets can be turned in for 1 Love Token and it takes 270 love tokens to purchase the Swift Lovebird mount which is being reported as being BOE and can be sold on the AH. -Jim)

As reported in this comment in a this reddit thread there is potentially a great place to farm these in Throne of Tides. "Throne of the Tides kill first boss then sit on that corridor before the last boss (don't kill last two adds at the door) and kill the little oozes over and over again without having to ever move. 0 Downtime, lots of them and best of all only 1 aoe skill to kill them all." (I've tried soloing the first boss in Throne of Tide and as a Hunter I take too much damage. I'm going to try again but if you aren't on a class that can heal yourself you might just farm Halls of Lightning Slags. Had my wife come help kill the first boss. Now to try the Unstable Corruptions. The spot does work if you can get to it.)
