In the interest of helping our blog readers not be overwhelmed by all of our livestreaming we are going to try extracting smaller "bite-sized" sections of the larger livestreams. We sell a lot of 77-80 Cataclysm items. A lot! We stock around 500 total 77-80 Cataclysm items and have moved to posting only one copy of each item to save reposting time as well as reposting fees. This means however that I have to "restock" the items that have sold from the previous day.

In order to do this I head to the guild bank where I store my duplicate 77-80 Cataclysm items and check my completed auction text in my chat box from openeing my successful mail. I then type the first few letters of a sold item and see if I have a second copy of the item in my bank to replace it. If I do I take it out and get it ready to sell.

    I have been trying to get into this market as a new gold maker (new to WoW as well). I had about 2k to start with when I started buying up greens and am at about 4k after about a week of selling them.

    I go back and forth as to whether or not this is really the best use of my time for several reasons.
    -There are not many items to buy up each day...currently, I have about 10-12 items up at any given day due to a very low stock on the AH.
    -I only sell about 1-2 items per day. Even though I am pretty much bottoming out prices at around 175 for armor and 200 for weapons (not including wands).

    Do you or anyone else have any suggestions for me? I did purchase your guide by the way and am starting to level up some professions, but I am trying this market out in the meantime.

      Everyone's server is different. I'd suggest actually raising prices for a week or so to see if they'll still sell. At least them you'll be getting the same number of sales but more gold over all.

      I know it sounds counter-intuitive but I've read multiple people having success selling these items for more than they thought they could.

      All else you could go back to your normal prices.

      I sold quite a bit over the weekend. I even accidentally posted a staff for 1000g and sold it! I think I am going to ride out the prices (I did raise about 25g) and then try to raise them by about 50g next weekend. If I can make the same number of sales as I did this weekend, then I will keep the prices at the increased level.

      I think there are two things working against me...a very underpopulated server and I am only now slowly gaining enough stock to have options for customers.

      Anyway, thanks so much for the great advice. Whether or not I am making as much as you, I am learning a ton about the market on my server and I am making some decent gold for a noob.
