Building A Valor Bracer Shopping List
In this video "WoW Gold-Making - Auctionator & Wowhead For Shopping Lists" I go over how to use Wowhead's item search filters to find bind-on-equip (BOE) item level 397 bracers (known as "Valor Bracers") and add them to an Auctionator shopping list. (The filter I build in the video can be found here.)
I build these type of shopping lists to quickly find which (if any) Valor Bracers I should be buying from players selling them in trade chat for flipping purposes. It should be noted that Valor Boots are also BOE and can be bought/sold in the same way.
For a written description of this process (although the items are now outdated) see our previous post "Buying And Selling Valor Boots For Profit".

Confessions of a Mogging Fiend
Today's guest post was written by Keelhaul (Twitter: @DEazeroth). If you would like your guest post included on Power Word: Gold feel free to contact us at powerwordgold@gmail.com.
When transmogrification was announced I was really intrigued. Obviously. Right? I mean I ended up starting a blog and noodled on the subject for about six weeks. It's just a fantastic topic and one that is going to remain a stable area of interest and intrigue for a lot of players.
While I'm no longer able to maintain the blog (due to time constraints with our newborn son who's not sleeping more than 2 hrs at a time btw - ugh) I am still in and out of WoW as I try to complete various transmog sets for my 8 toons.
I'll tell you what. Sitting there on a chair from 2-4 in the morning with a baby on your shoulder offers plenty of time to sit and watch the market from the mobile armory on my iPhone. I've begun a little project in this way and I mentioned it to flux and he asked me to write a post about it. So here goes. (After the jump of course.)

One-Handed Mace Mog Flipping Recommendations
Today's guest post was written by Keelhaul who runs the blog Disenchanting Azeroth (Twitter: @DEazeroth). If you're interested in writing a guest post for Power Word: Gold please contact us at powerwordgold@gmail.com.
Many of these items can be found on the auction house now for very low prices. I have The Undermine Journal email alerts set up for many of these items and have been picking them up often between 50-100 gold. The max I recommend you paying for these pre-4.3 is around 200 gold.
Head past the jump for the recommended one-handed mace list.

The Shape of The Mogging Market And Staves
Today's guest post was written by Keelhaul from Disenchanting Azeroth. If you would like your guest post featured on Power Word: Gold contact us at powerwordgold@gmail.com.
First, a few market observations. After an initial wave of BoE sales, things have slowed down a bit. I half-expected this because transmogrification is likely going to move at the pace of a typical adoption curve.

This feature is going to be big enough that it warrants looking at the potential for change in the market in such a fashion. Learn more about the Transmogrification Curve after the jump.

Selling Classic Raid Runs To Moggers
Today's guest post was written by Keelhaul from the Disenchanting Azeroth blog. If you would like your guest post featured on Power Word: Gold contact us at powerwordgold@gmail.com.
Throwback gear in 4.3 actually breathes new life into throwback gold-making opportunities for experienced players. The ol' Hand of A'dal vials model for gold-making can be resurrected immediately, and GDKP runs have a new reason for pulling buyers into raids. Follow us after the jump and start thinking out of the box and applying a gold value to actual bosses, rather than to items.

Adding Item Links To Barking Macros
There are times when adding an item link to your barking macros can mean the difference between making the sale and getting passed over.
Most of us should know how to add an item link if we're barking in trade to sell one item (hold Shift+Left Click the item in your bag) but what if you want a macro to bark the item over and over?
What if you want to bark an item you yourself don't posses (like a Fortune Card forth 5000 gold)? Find the detailed instructions as well as an instructional video after the jump.

Flipping Cataclysm Epic Items Is Legit
Today's guest post was written by Jokine, the co-host of The Power Word: Gold Podcast. You can follow him on twitter at @Jokinee.
Hi. It's Jokinee. The guy who "hasn't reached the gold cap yet" (inside joke). It has been a while since I posted last time but this post is going to be about flipping Cataclysm epics for profit.
As you may know, for example, it's nice to find Elementium Ore for 20g cheaper than it usually is. Or find Khorium Bars for cheap prices because you know that you are going to make a lot of profit with the item you bought for a cheap price. Either way you know the item is rare or you know you will make profit with the specific item anyways (even if it was more expensive).
Read more about how to choose which epic items to flip after the jump.

Flux's Fireside Chat Video 2011.05.13
This is a short informal "chat" style video (inspired heavily by Faid's "Fadian Slip" videos). Its main purpose being a quick 10 minute chat about what ever gold-making subject strikes my fancy. I'm considering doing these on a weekly basis to allow me a bit more freedom to share more "free-form" thoughts and ideas.
The visual part of the video (me doing my glyph routine) isn't meant to match up at all with what I'm chatting about in the video. Consider it more "visual background noise". (If you are good at simultaneously tracking two disparate things you might even find it kind of fun.)
Cheers, -f

Maelstrom Crystal Prices Plummet in Patch 4.1 - How To Capitalize?
In the wake of Patch 4.1: "Rise of the Zandalari" there have been some major shake-ups in the World of Warcraft economy.
Some were predicted and some have been unexpected. Today we are going to be discussing the absolute free-fall that has happened to the prices of Maelstrom Crystals and how we may be able to take advantage of it as gold-makers.
(Farming, mining or checking the AH? We all love to multi-task. Listen to the spoken-word version of this post while you play via the embedded player below or download/play either the Normal Speed MP3 or the "Time is Money" 2x Speed MP3.)

Buying and Selling Valor Boots for Profit
I've seen many players advertising that they are selling "Valor Boots" in trade chat as Patch 4.1 gets closer and closer.
I'm going to go into the details of how you can check the the Valor boot market (using Auctionator Shopping Lists), get boots at a good price (via haggling) and profit by selling them on the auction house (at the right price).

Obsidium Skeleton Keys: Gold Hiding Right On Our Keyrings?
![]() |
| Are you the Keymaster? |
I had used skeleton keys in the past and thought there might be a new Cataclysm version. I had power leveled my blacksmithing and so must not have noticed the new skeleton key recipe when I had learned it.
What I found led me into a new (and potentially profitable) market that seems nearly untouched on my server.
